Our University and Department, which conducts all its activities in accordance with international standards and relevant legal regulations within the quality assurance system, is based on the kalite quality-oriented yönetim management system, which is based on continuous monitoring and continuous improvement and sustainability. In this context, our department continuously develops its own educational background and standards. Within this framework, it continues its education and training in accordance with MÜDEK standards. As a result of the audit based on the application to MÜDEK accreditation, our Department has been entitled to be accredited for 5 years; it has the EUR-ACE label of the European Union and is included in the FEANI database. On 5 February 2019, the MÜDEK-Engineering Training Programs Accreditation Board (MAK) decided to extend the accreditation of the Geomatics Engineering undergraduate program, which will end in September 2020, by one year until September 2021, with the authorization it received from the relevant directive.
Within this scope, the process of achieving the targeted outputs through our undergraduate programs is continuously monitored and examined; thus, necessary studies are carried out for the improvement of our program. In addition, the commissions formed under the total quality management agreement ensure that all operations in the Department are maintained in a healthy and regular manner, and the activities carried out through regular Quality Accreditation Board meetings are monitored. In addition, with the questionnaires applied to the new students, the adaptation of our students to our program and the activities required by the Department are planned.
The timeliness and adequacy of our department program is measured by the surveys of graduates and employers. Each semester, the course evaluation questionnaires scored by our students' performance of the instructors, effective teaching techniques, physical facilities, etc. issues are reviewed. These surveys are evaluated at regular intervals based on the opinions of the Advisory Board.
