This station has been set up within the project of "Research on Atmospheric Effects on Ionospheric Modelling through Study of Radio Wave Propagation and Solar Activity Phase II" between the Turkish Space Agency (TUA) and the Asia Pacific Space Cooperation Organisation (APSCO). The project team consists of Prof. Dr. Şenol Hakan Kutoğlu, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökhan Gürbüz and Res. Assist. Dr. Volkan Akgül. The observation station and scintillation module provided to our University has been installed and data collection has started.
The aim of this station is to monitor the scintillation events occurring in the middle and low latitude belts with GNSS observations thanks to these observation stations installed in Peru, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Taiwan, China and Pakistan.
